Web Assistant
– Ref: MTWA
GFI is looking for a bright, dynamic candidate to join its Marketing Department as Web Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for the creation of web pages, converting existing material into HTML format and performing day-to-day website maintenance, including working with our new content management system. Training will be provided. To qualify, you must be fluent in HTML at tag level and you should have experience in website design, development and/or maintenance. While not essential, preference will be given to applicants who have experience with CSS and JavaScript and experience in any of the following will be considered an asset: JSP, Microsoft SQL Server, XML/XSLT, ASP.NET, ASP and Flash. This is available either as full-time employment or as a freelance post.
Part-time SOP Administration Clerk – Ref: MTAC
This part-time role includes general administration and office duties. As GFI is an international company, this post involves dealing with people from all over the world by email, over the phone and in person, so great communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Fluency in spoken and written English is a must. Familiarity with other languages will be considered an asset. You should be a confident email user and must be familiar with applications such as Word and Excel. An efficient, precise approach is essential.
Windows C++ and C# programmer
– Ref: MTWP
As part of GFI’s team of programmers, you will work with the latest tools and develop software for Microsoft server applications – including IIS, Windows 2003 and Exchange Server. Your work will involve developing cutting edge technologies, such as content filtering, anti-spam, email security, intrusion detection and more. Experience in C++ programming OR C# and .NET is a must. You must be able to work on projects independently. Knowledge of web development will be considered an asset. This is a full-time post.
Technical Communicator – Ref: MTTC
As part of GFI’s Technical Communications team, you will work closely with the Product Engineering teams to identify product usability issues as well as create technically detailed documentation which will help GFI product users achieve excellent performance in the shortest timeframe possible. You will also play an active role in the ongoing maintenance of product documentation by liaising with subject matter experts to further flesh out documentation requirements. As Technical Communicator, you must actively run software usability testing and communicate with end-users to identify customer experience issues. Based on this feedback, you will be able to measure and report on our products’ ‘ease of use’ factor. To qualify, you must possess an excellent command of English, a keen eye for detail and established IT documentation abilities. Educational background or work experience in any technical communications field, customer experience and UI/software development posts will be considered an asset. ‘Bonus points’ will be awarded to candidates having familiarity with IT infrastructure security, UML and best practice for technical writing. This is a full-time post.
